Velux Roof Window and Skylight Installation in Chester

Roof windows can bring daylight and ventilation into lofts, extensions, kitchens and other rooms beneath a pitched roof. Dee Roofing installs and replaces roof windows across Chester, integrating the window, flashing and surrounding roof covering carefully.

New and replacement roof windows

A new opening must be correctly sized and positioned, with appropriate structural support and a flashing kit suited to the roof covering and pitch. Replacement work may involve fitting a modern window into an existing opening or altering the opening where dimensions differ. We will assess access, roof construction and internal finishing requirements before quoting.

Roofing skylight window installations can include:

• New roof-window installation
• Replacement of ageing or damaged roof windows
• Flashing kits for slate or tile roofs
• Work during re-roofing or as a separate improvement
• Advice on opening style, glazing and ventilation
• External roofing integration; clarify whether internal plastering and decoration are included

Planning and building requirements

Some roof-window installations fall within permitted development, while others need planning permission or building regulation approval. Requirements depend on the property, location and nature of the work. Homeowners should confirm the position with the local authority or designer before installation.
